Mobile mammography coming to Tyler County

WOODVILLE – The Rose Mobile Mammography Coach is coming to Tyler County on Tuesday, Oct. 29.

Residents will soon have convenient access to life-saving breast cancer screenings. The Rose Mobile Mammography Coach is scheduled to visit in Woodville, hosted by Tyler County AgriLife Extension. The coach will be parked at 201 Veterans Way in Woodville, offering on-site mammograms for women, especially those who face barriers to traditional healthcare.

The Rose is known for providing quality breast cancer screening services, regardless of a patient’s financial situation. They accept most major insurance plans, and assistance is available for those without coverage. This visit provides a crucial opportunity for early detection, which can significantly improve outcomes for those affected by breast cancer.

How to Sign Up: Appointments are required and can be made by calling (281) 464-5136 or visiting www.therose.org/mobile and entering code: TYCOAG. To qualify, women must be 35 or older, have a primary care physician, be due for a mammogram, not have any breast health symptoms or problems, currently not pregnant or nursing, and have not been diagnosed with breast cancer within the past two years.  A physician’s order is needed and the deadline to schedule an appointment is Oct. 22. Uninsured or underinsured women can apply for financial assistance directly through The Rose.

Residents are encouraged to schedule their appointments early, as spots are expected to fill up quickly. Don’t miss this chance to prioritize your health.
