Massey: A testament to following God

Posted

COLMESNEIL – Bro. Bill Massey retired from preaching in March of this year after faithfully serving the Lord in ministry for many years. He was ordained at Shawnee Prairie Baptist Church in 1981 and has preached in many churches throughout the past 45 years.

Though he has stepped away from the role of Senior Pastor of Tejas Road Baptist Church, his walk with the Lord is far from finished. Bro. Massey continues to share the Word with anyone he meets as the Lord leads him. His faith is evident in the way he lives each day, and many have been blessed by watching his walk with the Lord.

Bro. Massey is a testament to what it means to faithfully follow God and to the incredible things God can do through a life fully devoted to Him. His greatest wish is that all the praise and glory go to God and that others would simply have faith.

After years of devoted service, leadership, guidance, and faithful preaching, we are deeply grateful for the countless ways he has shepherded our church family, shared God’s Word, and inspired us to grow in our faith.

Though he is stepping back from preaching, we are thankful he continues to be part of our community, and his presence and counsel will always be a blessing.

We celebrate this new chapter in his life and pray for God’s continued blessings in the days ahead.

“Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.

Let all your things be done with charity.”

— 1 Corinthians 16:13–14
