Jackets beat Emery Weiner

The Yellowjacket football team proved predictions wrong again this week beating Emery Weiner 62-26.

Jesse Bittick had 11 carries for 205 yards with three touchdowns, Jaxon Gay had 13 carries for 75 yards with one touchdown, two catches for 35 yards, and 2/2 with 16 passing yards and one touchdown. Kaizen Citrano had nine carries for 103 yards with one touchdown, two catches for 38 yards with one touchdown.

Jayse Gay went four for five in passes for 75 yards two touchdowns and one interception. Bryson Swanson had two catches for 14 yards, and 15 yards on a kickoff return.

Rex Gilzow ended with two catches for 16 yards with one touchdown. Freshman Greyson Rosencranz had one carry. On the defensive side of the ball Bittick had 11 tack-les, one fumble recovery, and one defensive touchdown. Jaxon Gay also had 11 tackles, three pass break ups, one fumble recovery, and one defensive touchdown.

Jayse Gay had six tackles, one blocked extra point attempt, and a forced fumble. Bryson Swanson had 10 tackles and four broken passes. Blake Zulpo ended with 12 tackles, one punt block, and an extra point block. Kasen Citrano had seven tackles, one pass break up, and a forced fumble. Masen Pursley, Russell McDonnold, Jett Johnson, Greyson Rosencranz, and Gus Cochran each had tackles.

This week the Jackets will travel to Galveston to play O’Connell with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m.
